Say Yes to Salad

confessions of a sometimes vegetarian

Happy Valentine’s Day!

This morning I got and did a 40-minute yoga flow on my own.  Then I showered and set to making a Valentine’s day breakfast for Bobby and myself.  Here was his plate:

14-bobbys-breakfast

  • 1/4 cup (dry) grits with honey
  • 2 eggs, scrambled
  • 3 pieces of organic turkey bacon
  • POM pomegranate juice diluted with water

And mine:

15-my-breakfast

  • 3/4 cup (dry) oat bran, with cinnamon and brown rice syrup
  • homemade miso soup (1.5 cups water, 2-3 teaspoons miso, seaweed)
  • chilled green tea

My present to Bobby: tickets for a Coldplay concert this summer – we’re excited.  We’re heading out to the mall in a little bit to wander and spend time together.  I’ll be back later – I have a lot to post about.  I made beer bread yesterday, and tuna tempeh, and I want to talk more about macrobiotics.  Stay tuned!  Happy Valentine’s day – I hope you are spending it with people and things that you love and make you happy.
