Maggie,
I love Alisa's book, and your review is great. I really liked how it wasn't a bitter towards the dairy industry kind of book, ya know? Just the simple facts. So glad you enjoyed it as well, and you must try the Magical Shell recipe...amazing on coconut milk ice-cream!

What a great review! The book sounds really interesting. And it does sound like it would appeal to more people than just dairy-free people. Lemon Stir-Fry and Spicy Sweet oven fries...yum.

Thanks for this review--I've never heard of this book but it's going on my wishlist.
I've had bouts of going without dairy and in my heart of hearts I think I side with the argument that we really shouldn't be eating it, but I cant' seem to give it up! Yogurt and cottage cheese are the big ones for me. Sigh. Maybe this book will inspire me, even if it's just to cut down.

I love how detailed your reviews are. I need to check this book out-I never feel right after I eat a significant portion of dairy. I always ask myself, why then do I eat it? It tastes good, simple as that. Hopefully this book will help me make better choices! Thank you!
