Let’s all go to muffin land

There is something inherently wrong with eating a big fat muffin while watching Biggest Loser. I’m going to pretend it’s okay. At least it’s a bran muffin.

I did have a yummy dinner before my muffin (thanks for the treat, Jill!). I made a hugh jass stir fry with random veggies from my freezer plus sliced burdock. I topped it with smoked mozzarella cheese. So simple, so delicious.

I also had a heart-healthy (3/4 cup) serving of protein powder oat bran (oat bran, protein powder, cinnamon, salt, vanilla). I topped it with lowfat milk and real maple syrup. And sesame seeds.

Then the muffin. It was a very satisfying dinner.

I did Get Fit With Catra again tonight with Jill, and it was fun. Our workout was…

  • 1 lap around the park
  • 25 sit ups
  • 25 jumps (onto a 2 foot high wall)
  • 25 jumping jacks

Repeat circuit 3 times. We also walked to and from the park. When I got home I did 25 minutes of yoga – mostly Eoin Finn’s Yoga Quickie, but I did my own thing at the end.

I’m off to snuggle with my sweetie. My dad left this morning and I’m sad… but happy that I will see him in 2 weeks icon smile Lets all go to muffin land We are moving in less than two weeks and I’m so excited!

Do you have any tips for moving? I’ve done it a lot, but I’m always game for more pointers.

    Mmm stirfry looks delish and you just made me have the BIGGEST craving for maple syrup. haha

    I’ve moved a lot too, thankfully that was a few years ago and now I’m settled! My pointers would be to start early, b/c no matter how early you start it won’t be enough time to prepare and you always have a lot more stuff and things on your to-do list than you think! I also tend to keep a box of my comfort things nearby so I can unpack them first. Books you reference often, a favorite sweater, favorite movie, w/e. It helps to have them in their place when you get to your new home – helps it feel like “home” faster! :) Good luck for the move, I’m excited for you guys!

    I think moving is a pain no matter how organize you are, specially when you have to unpack. so keep in mind when you pack the moment you have to unpack them! make it as easier as possible! :)
    I want to try that workout too! sounds a great bootcamp style workout!

    Wish I had some tips for moving; I am the laziest mover ever, and I’ve always resorted to hiring people/relying on my dad/little sister. I’m pathetic haha

    That stir-fry looks amazing; it’s only noon but I think I know what I want for dinner :)

    good luck with the move! i don’t have too many tips, except that the more organized you pack everything will make unpacking that much easier!

    As for moving… well, I’ve moved a lot too, but only as a kid so I can only give you emotional advice: set up your bedroom first and mark your territory (so that siblings know their place from the start :P)

    I loved everything about your dinner. Oat bran makes the best dessert.

    No tips to share as moving is not my favorite thing, but it will be so worth it to be closer to your families…and Sadie. You’ll be there soon! :)

    OK, one tip that helped me during our last move was to start compiling a list of every piece of mail I received that would require an address change. You never realize how many people, companies, doctors, insurance, etc. will need your new address.

    In my…less healthy days….I remember sitting and watching the BL with a pint of Ben and Jerry’s once… oy. I’m glad that’s in the past…not to say I don’t enjoy a little Chubby Hubby or Mint Cookie every once in a while…but yeah. haha

    Ohhh..moving can be such a hassle, and i do it about every 3-6 months! My best advice is labeling…i label all my boxes by room and subject; help so much when unpacking!!!
