Final Wedding Plans & Fresh Italian Food

We had a very productive 2 days in New Jersey – we worked in the yard (thanks Dad!) and made schedules (thanks Mom!) and generally figured out what we need to do this week for final wedding planning.

It was also my mom’s birthday on Saturday, so we went out for a nice dinner. Happy Birthday Mom! (We got her a gift certificate to our favorite salon/spa – Sydney Albert in Princeton.) I got this Shrimp Caesar Salad at the restaurant:

We ate at the same place that we are having our rehearsal dinner (gah, Friday!). They serve good Italian food and it’s very home-y. It’s also convenient because it’s walking distance from my parents’ house (the reception location).

I apologize for this rambling, rather non-topical post. My brain and life are rather disorganized at the moment.

Exercise of the Day(s):

  • Saturday we didn’t really exercise, but there was definitely some walking fit in there. It’s always nice to have a rest day.
  • Sunday we worked outside for an hour or so, and we walked to the movie theater 2 blocks away to see Inception (good movie, but I didn’t think it was as good as everyone was making it out to be).
  • Monday – walk to and from work (2.8 miles) + a video TBD (20-30 mins).

Have to go downtown this afternoon to pick up our marriage license! My mom is in the city today so I will probably meet her for lunch.

Off to work… Any last minute wedding tips? The main one I’m trying to follow is to STAY CALM.

  1. My wedding tip is to elope! ๐Ÿ˜‰ Kidding. Have fun with the journey and enjoy the process! I’ll be thinking of you this week!

  2. My biggest tip is to smile when you down the aisle. I had a look of terror on my face that is unfortunately reflected in my wedding photos ๐Ÿ™ And soak in every moment. The day flies by. Enjoy!!

  3. So close, so exciting! My tip is to make a checklist of things you need to have done before the big day, that helped me organize last minute details more easily.

  4. I’ve never gotten married–so as far as tips..not sure. Just enjoy every moment and don’t sweat the small stuff—and have fun!

PS–love all the walking you do.

  5. know that something WILL go wrong, its inevitable. but it also doesnt have to get blown out of proportion. in hindsight you wont even remember anything that goes wrong. all that matters on the day is that you get married. at the end of the day you will be mrs. bobby miller ๐Ÿ™‚

  6. This is so exciting! Staying calm is a good idea…idk if I can offer any good tips because I’ve never even been close to being married lol

Happy belated bday to your mama ๐Ÿ™‚

  7. I’ll be thinking of you as well, this week Maggie my dear. I love getting excited for soon to be brides, because seriously- it is like THE moment of your life! I guess coming from me, who is just like any other girl dreaming about her wedding day all her life, and now not knowing when or who or where i’ll be getting married to/at etc, it just gets me excited.

Have a great week and yes, stay calm and get some sleep.

congrats on getting your marr license!

  9. I’m sure you’ve heard this one before, but make sure to stop, just for a moment to really take it all in. You are going to be in overdrive and I promise you, the second you blink, it will all be over.

    Enjoy your amazing day!!!

  10. Lovely mag-pie ๐Ÿ˜€

It has been a loooooong time since I have commented, but I still read all the time. You know—life gets busy. Just wanted to wish you a happy happy happy wedding day filled with love, bliss, grounding, and joy. You deserve it!!

  11. Maggie! I just got back from Australia and am catching up on blogposts.
EEEEEEEEEeeeee!!! I’m so excited for you!
I also have zero experience with this but have seen friends get married and agree that you should try not to stress all the details beforehand. All those little things won’t matter at the end of the day. It’s really only about you and Bobby celebrating your life together, and you want to enjoy every second of it. Don’t get caught up in the planning and don’t worry about the after, just have fun!

I’m also excited to try all these netflix videos you’ve been posting about. I’m ready to get back to my routine after 3 + weeks of “days off”. It was totally worth it though and I’ll be posting more about it. Hope we get to chat soon!
