NuNaturals Giveaway (Free Stevia!)

**UPDATE: This contest is now closed. See winners here.**

Did you like the stevia coupon from yesterday? I hope you get a chance to use it.

What is Stevia?

Stevia (in case you are not familiar with it) is a completely natural zero-calorie sweetener that has been used around the world (Japan, Brazil and South America, Korea, Europe, etc…). It comes from the leaf of the Stevia Rebaudiana plant. It is many times sweeter than sugar, yet sometimes it can taste bitter… But not NuNaturals. NuNaturals stevia is not bitter at all from what I can tell. What stevia is not: aspartame, splenda, or any of those other awful sweeteners. (Not that I never have those awful sweeteners; I am guilty of my weekly diet soda. But maybe stevia will wean me off of them.)

Stevia Giveaway

In addition to the stevia coupon, NuNaturals is letting me host a NuNaturals stevia giveaway. They will award four (4) of you guys one (1) box of their NuStevia Packets (50 count box), and one (1) bottle of their NuNaturals Vanilla Stevia Liquid (2 ounce bottle). The contest is only open to U.S. residents (this is to avoid costly shipping & International custom regulations!).

**This contest is closed.**

How to enter (3 ways):

  1. Leave a comment telling me what sweetener you use in your coffee or tea, and if you have ever tried stevia! (Worth 1 entry.)
  2. Follow me and tweet this: “Check out @TheSaladGirl’s free @NuNaturals stevia giveaway!”, and leave a comment here telling me you did (include your Twitter name). (Worth 1 entry.)
  3. Blog about this giveaway, and leave a comment telling me you did. (Worth 3 entries.)
  4. **NEW** Go to my recipes page and leave a comment here telling me what recipe you want to try. (Worth 1 entry.)

That’s it! You can also browse the NuNaturals website – they have stevia recipes and lots of other great products. I really liked what Ron (from NuNaturals) said in his email to me:

“Life is too short to eat dessert only on special occasions, therefore we hope consumers will consider trying some of our low, or NO sugar, nutritious recipes and enjoy life!!”

Now that is a motto that was made for me.

I will pick a winner at 10:30pm (EDT) on *my birthday*, September 15th (next Wednesday). So get your entries in before 10:30pm (EDT) on Wednesday. (I am going to be 24 by the way.)

I did my yoga yesterday… did you? Tell me about it!

  1. I use Truvia in my coffee and sometimes regular sugar. I haven’t tried stevia yet – I’ve been wondering what all the hype is about!

  2. I have tried stevia, and now use the TJ’s version in my coffee. Prior to this, i was a Splenda FANATIC, but after realizing how much of it I consumed in one day, I had to put a quick halt to that bad habit.

  3. I use equal! The blue packets. I know that is SO gross, but most Stevia I’ve tried tastes a bit metallic!

  4. I’ve actually never tried it – my go to is Splenda for coffee and baking though – would love to win!

Thanks again for your donation Maggie!

    Happy Friday!

  5. I used to use Splenda in my coffee, then I switched to au laits with soy milk and cinnamon. I bought stevia for the first time a week ago. I’m excited about it!

  6. I’ve tried Stevia but it was a loooong time ago and it was a really bitter kind. I’ve heard great things about NuNaturals though, but I haven’t gotten up the courage to buy some yet 🙂 I always use raw local honey in my tea. So yummy and good for you(in small amounts!) Just found your site through photograzing, by the way 🙂

  7. First of all, happy early birthday, I hope it goes wonderfully for you! And secondly, I don’t drink coffee or tea, but my mother drinks coffee and pours that French vanilla hydrogenated powdered junk into it carelessly and getting some stevia (which I haven’t tried) would hopefully be something she could learn to like as a healthier alternative.

  8. In my iced tea I usually use regular sugar b/c I make it from scratch so it dissolves when it’s hot. When I make lemonade I use agave b/c that’s already cold and it dissolves so nicely in cold drinks! I don’t think I’ve tried Stevia, but I’d love to!

  9. woohoo giveaways! I tend to like my coffee strong and black but once in a while if I’m craving something sweet I’ll use either stevia, and soymilk to make a latte. Sometimes I use honey or molasses for a totally different vibe too, and I love making mochas with some cocoa in there too 🙂

And happy early Birthday! if you have any texan style birthday gift requests let me know!

  10. Stevia is definitely my sweetener of choice! The first time I tried the powdered version (years ago) I thought it tasted funny, but once I discovered the liquid version, I was totally hooked!

I’d be so excited to try the NuNaturals Vanilla flavor! 😀

  11. I’ll be 24 soon as well, I think it’s going to be a great age! I use KAL stevia sometimes and like it, but I have heard raves about NuNaturals and would love to try it!

  12. I dont drink coffee, but when I drink tea, I use splenda because its free (I steal from starbucks). I WOULD use stevia if it didnt rape my wallet.

  13. I’m still addicted to Splenda, but would love to switch over to Stevia. And hope you have a lovely birthday week!
