I’m so sorry about your bad day yesterday. What a great idea your sis in law had, i need to do that. My hubbys granny makes that drink!! Yes! McDonalds ice cream is a favorite of mine too, so yummy, inexpensive and relatively low in fat!

Sorry to hear about your phone! :( But the idea of writing three good things down at the end of each day is a wonderful one! Your kombucha looks great, I want to get into drinking that one regularly. Where did you get the scoby from originally?

Eeek, so sorry about your phone!

I’m looking forward to the kombucha tutorial. I’ve wanted to make some myself for awhile, though I might feel like a druggie prowling Craigslist for a scoby. Hopefully my roommates won’t flip!

Have you ever tried fermented/pickled carrots? Super yummy! They have that sweet-sour taste like kombucha.

Yeah, Mickey D’s has the best softserve, hands down.

Oh, and thank you so much for your comment on my blog. It made my day!

I hear you on the Paleo front. I usually have fro yo or some kind of treat when I’m watching True Blood on Sundays, teehee. I’m trying to keep things lower in sugar right now, but that’s more because I know I’ve had times when I haven’t had outright sugar cravings and it was easy for me to have treats in moderation.

@Mimi: If you’re ever in NYC and need a scoby, I’m your girl!

    Oh. My. Gosh.

Can you move to Brooklyn, please?! That’s where I am. I’ll even come over and eat your food, and you in turn can eat the figs out of my garden if that’s what you like ;)

@Sylvia: We are thinking of Brooklyn! We were in SoHo looking at places today and the prices are insane… :) So Brooklyn is definitely an option. Do you have recommendations for good places? We’re thinking Cobble Hill, Park Slope, Brooklyn Heights…

Yeah, I feel like Manhattan is just way outta my price range. Plus Brooklyn is where all the cheap but beautiful veggies are at. OH, and Kombucha! ;)

Hmm, I would suggest Bensonhurst because that seems like a nice place too (and where yours truly lives, ahem*). I’ve heard good things about Park Slope as well.

@Sylvia: P.S. We have a friend in Brooklyn who has TONS of figs on 2 fig trees in their backyard. So cool.

Omigosh, there are SO many fig trees around here in Brooklyn! I was walking around my neighborhood. Saw at least 5 and that was only on 2 blocks! But for some reason, it looks like their figs are on steroids while mine are still babies. I wonder if it’s because they’re different varieties? My dad is always complaining now about how small our figs are but I don’t really care. They’re figs, and they’re all mine. MINE, puahahahaa. ;)
