Make lemonade!
Don’t worry, life isn’t handing me bad lemons (quite the opposite actually – everything has been smooth sailing lately). Actually, Rachael over at Bolthouse Farms sent me some fresh lemonade today and I’ve been sipping on it all night. Yum! Very refreshing. It’s pretty sweet, but it’s made with good ingredients so I think it’s a worthwhile treat.

To celebrate the last days of summer, Bolthouse Farms is hosting a Mango Lemonade stand at Hudson River Park at Pier 46 on August 24th. Passers-bys can pick up a refreshing sample starting from 2PM, and the Bolthouse team will be on hand to share discount coupons and information.

This week my distraction from posting (or doing anything really) has been these books:

I read Dead Until Dark in about 2 days, Living Dead in Dallas in about the same, and I just started Club Dead today.
***
Did I mention my sister was here this weekend too? We did so many fun things including an epic Ikea trip, dinner at Sacred Chow, a dinner at Shake Shack, a BBQ, and good company with friends.
***
Then tonight I made this vegan peanut stew and I will share my mods later this week.
***
Gosh this post is very non sequitor. I will just stop and go eat my stew.
How was your weekend and what are you reading now?

Hope life is going well and DOES hand you lemons soon
Hang in there.
Weekend was busy but fun; reading “American Psycho.”
@VG: Haha, I actually mean life is not handing me bad lemons – things are going great for me lately! (Hope I don’t jinx myself)
@VG: P.S. OO I have been meaning to read that! I saw the movie. Christian Bale is a cutie even when he’s kind of evil
The book is WAAAAAAY better.
i love love love ikea! my house is practically made of ikea ha. i’ve been digging lemon wedges + lime + a bit of seltzer and white wine lately. mmmm spritzers! haven’t read a thing lately waaaay too busy!
Omigod, I love Charlaine Harris! You should definitely read her other books, not just the Sookie Stackhouse series. I especially loved the Harper Connelly books. And I think that the television series is just a guilty pleasure for me
