Cannot believe it’s mid-January already. Maybe one of my resolutions should be to slow down.
Random Links of Love…

Saw this adorable iPod/iPhone hanger/charging station on Cookies & Crafts (found the blog via HEAB). The original instructions are in German – will have to do some translating!
The dangerous effects of reading. Cool title and very illuminating article about our drive to consume all day, every day. He says instead of optimizing for consuming (45 minutes listening podcasts on the way to work, 30 minutes blog reading on the toilet, etc…) we should optimize to create (cease input – turn off the cellphone as much as possible, stop reading every single stupid blog post that comes up in your reader, etc…). Obviously I don’t want you to stop reading my blog
But he makes great points.
Mmmm…

- Caramelized Miso Ginger Onions from Cooking in Japan
NYC…
- New Yorkers have the highest life expectancy in the nation - they smoke less, walk more, and are more social.

What are your weekend plans? Do you have off on Monday?
Bobby and I have a packed schedule. Last night I took a yoga class, then we got Korean food in K-town, headed home, our lock was broken (no broken into, just broken so we couldn’t get in!), then finally (12am) headed up to a party, and got home around 3am. I think I have got to stop getting Korean food from this place we go to – the food is delicious but I wake up feeling sick the day after (bloated, thirsty, and just yuck). It must be the salt – or else there is a ton of MSG (I’m slightly allergic to it – and actually now that I think about it, yes the MSG must be it because MSG makes me lightheaded and I get a weird pressure in my temples after I eat it, and I definitely felt wonky last night after dinner. Duh, Maggie.). Unfortunate because I love Korean food (you may have guessed from my current header picture). This afternoon I’m doing yoga – with Bobby and with my brother (another Robert) and the rest of the weekend is packed full until Monday, which I have off.

I wish I could have made it to the anniversary class/party! I was dead after work, and saw online that the class was full, so I didn’t bother.
Is there a Monday night class? If so, we should go at 6 or 7!
Love Katie’s blog, and I LOVE that iphone charger. Right now, my cord dangles and is always on the floor when I’m not charging my phone. That is such a great idea b/c I could just store the cord in the bag when not using it.
No big plans this weekend, and Chris has Monday off which makes me very happy.
Walking everywhere is one thing I would really enjoy about living in a big city. We’re in a pretty urban area, but I still drive most destinations, and Nashville’s public transport kind of stinks.
MSG is one of the major reasons why I’m so reluctant with eating out. As much as I love Asian food, but it’s usually loaded with MSG!
So I better recreate those dishes at home.
I’m having a rather quiet weekend. Had friends over for dinner last night, and will meet another very good friend tomorrow. Otherwise, me-time. I like that a lot!
Thanks for the link love!
I love the idea of that ipod charger pouch. Good find!
Thanks for the link love! I have the fabric all cut and ready to make that charger station this weekend. I’m planning on posting about it next week.
And the lime meltaways were a hit at work. They were gone before noon, and I didn’t put them out until about 10:30. Who says people like chocolate better?
