Bobby and I went to yoga together last night and at the end of class the teacher left us with 3 suggestions to ponder on, in savasana and meditation, but also over the next few days.
3 Things to Leave Behind in 2013
1) The need to be right.
2) The need to measure your successes by how many of your desires have been met.
3) Being the star of your own movie.
Little nuggets like this are one of the many reasons why I like yoga. It is so much more than a physical practice.
I will leave you with a recent (this morning) bump picture I snapped:
I am also leaving the 2nd trimester behind in 2013! I will be 27 weeks along tomorrow (Tuesday) and that will make me officially in the 3rd trimester. I’m up about 16-17 pounds by now (I try to weigh in once a week or so), but believe it or not, none of those clothes are maternity. Both the shirt and pants are Athleta (nice enough gym clothes to wear to work) and the tank is a long tank I’ve had forever from Urban Outfitters. I’m so sick of maternity clothing so I am trying to wear as much normal clothing as possible until I am HUGE.
You might also notice that the room I’m in used to have a (usually unmade and husband-inhabited) bed in it – well, no longer. Our renovations are mostly done and we moved our bedroom and made this Bobby’s mancave/music room. It will also have the changing table when little guy arrives. More updates on renovations when they are actually completely finished (but who knows when that will be).
Happy New Year if I don’t post again before the first! Here’s to a wonderful 2014!
