Chocolate Chip Cookies for One – totally perfect for my sweet tooth. I don’t like making a whole batch because I am the only one who likes sweet things in this house. I might try them with oatmeal instead of flour; I haven’t had oatmeal in ages and I miss it.
Corn Chowder a la Sophia – I think I want to make all of Sophia’s recipes, but this one is really calling to me. I actually rarely make anything interesting anymore so maybe I will challenge myself this week to make some new recipes.
I just found the Hip Chick’s Guide to Macrobiotics at the thrift shop for $1.99. Of course I picked it up. I had actually been talking about this book earlier this week with a girl I just met. I started it today on the boat; it’s a lot better than I had expected.
Mark’s Grok Walk Workout looks awesome. Definitely fits into my current exercise routine.
Week 5 of Biz’s 101 Days of Summer Challenge is over. Check out the comments on her post to see how we all did.
Salad Girl Updates
Today… I rewrote this post on Reducing Sugar. It was originally just “10 healthy tips” for cooking and baking, but upon reading it I discovered that I used to demonize butter and fats and think that we should all be eating carby, fat-free diets. So I rewrote it. Do check it out if you get a chance.
Wednesday: BodyRock (BR) Burpee challenge. I did 46.
Thursday: BR Wild & Free Challenge = insanity. My time was 26:13, using 6 pounds of weights instead of a sandbag, and no jumprope for the high knees. Could. Not. Speak. This is the day that Bobby officially realized I am nuts.
Love this outfit. And the haircut! I am so so tempted to chop all mine off. I’m trying to grow it out but it’s getting so annoying 🙁 How do you stay motivated to grow long hair? And to do something with it each day instead of pulling it into a ponytail?
